biography_TEIN (1976) studied graphic design in Rotterdam. After his graduation in 1997 he moved to The Hague where he started his career as an assistant art-director at Mexx International. In 2001 he moved to Amsterdam where he successfully started his own company TEIN, furthering his retail experience as a freelancer at HEMA. He later worked for various redactions and magazines at Sanoma publishers and Studio Room. During this period he developed a personal and creative style in editorial design. Nowadays making magazines is what he enjoys the most.
Since 2007, TEIN is a member of the BNO, the professional association of designers in the Netherlands.
_He recently created concepts for a.o. Albert Heijn, Audi, Citroën, PGGM, Klassieke Zaken, RWD, Nierstichting Nederland and the Hypotheekshop.
_In 2009 TEIN was nominated twice for the ‘Best of Customer Media Awards 2009’ and won the award for the magazine ‘Ahá’ - Albert Heijn.
_Next to his extensive range of editorial work, TEIN took a new step by creating the look and feel of hockey sticks for `the Indian Maharadja’, starting in Fall 2009. He also developed numerous logos and identities for various companies. He is now designing an extended line of packaging for Dline, a new range of nutrition and health products.
